Project Manager, “Prevent”

Omada is seeking a Project Manager for our diabetes prevention program who will work closely with the product/design and engineering teams to help plan and implement new product features.

Omada is a pioneer in the field of digital health. Our flagship product, Prevent, is designed to help the 1 in 3 Americans with prediabetes lose weight and make lasting lifestyle changes that reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes. To do this, we partner with employers and health plans to bring Prevent to at-risk employees and members.

The Project Manager will work closely with both the product/design and engineering teams. With the product/design team you will learn how the user needs and constraints have been translated into feature prototypes and mocks. With our engineering teams, you will be responsible for the timely and successful implementation of those features, managing several small engineering teams, as you make our product suite more enjoyable and effective for our participants!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with product designers to understand the drivers (user needs, compliance, business needs) of product features.

  • Work with product engineering to assess the technical cost of features and fixes, understanding the relative importance of each, and generating new “stories” for each.

  • Help in the development process by serving as a go-to for answers about adjustments or iterations as development is under way.

  • Review delivered features, ensuring they are bug free, meet the technical requirements, and deliver on the intent of the original designs.

 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, especially with web-based products

  • Experience working within the Agile methodology

  • Organization: from your inbox habits to your time management to the information you juggle about features, bugs, chores, mocks, time-tables, etc.

  • Teamwork: taking great pride in successful collaboration and outcomes achieved together

  • Judgement: keen sense for decision-making and prioritization

  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing product ideas

  • Strong communication skills as your role involves several groups and varied types of contributors.

  • Experience with Pivotal Tracker or other planning software

  • Previous success working with an agile development team

  • Background in design or software development a plus
